The Hillywood Show

Ever since I saw these guys at the San Francisco TwiTour, I find myself needing a new kind of fix:

Dette and the Cast of The Hillywood Show
~ Dette and the cast of The Hillywood Show ~

That's me in my Vampire Geisha outfit. And yes, I have every intention of rocking it out again for another costume party or Halloween!! ;)

I just wish you could've seen these guys at the convention - they were in character all weekend long and even taught everyone the dance from their Twilight Parody. I must confess, I can no longer listen to "Hot N Cold" without thinking of these guys and wanting to watch it all over again.

But if you didn't get a chance to see them in San Francisco, don't fret... they'll be back again hosting Creation's Salute to Twilight Convention in Los Angeles on May 3rd - the last day of the annual Grand Slam!

In the meantime, you can check them out at the links below. You won't be disappointed!

Unintended Hiatus

I hadn't planned on it. It kinda just happened.

When we headed down to San Diego for spring break, I knew we wouldn't have internet access. Only I could have parents that don't own a computer at home. Hell, Bandit started working on Starfall.com by himself at 3 years old, and he's more computer savvy than his grandmother - lol.

But I've been sneaking in on FB and Twitter. If you're following me, then you might've noticed that I finally updated my avatar and Twilight background... still trying to curb this OCD! You also might've caught some of the crazy stuff we've been up to...

Like how the Cheeky Bandit inhaled his lunch today. I wish you could've felt the force of that piece of ham when it flew outta his nostril. OMG!

Later on, Einstein thought it'd be interesting to watch his tongue turn blue with a single drop of food coloring - and did the same to Bandit.

Are they friggin' bored or what?!

But it must be this heat, coz I pulled a doozy myself. Last night, I ordered flowers for my mom - to celebrate her birthday today. My dad rarely gets her any flowers, and we picked out a bright, yellow arrangement for her.

So this afternoon, when I found a lady on MY doorstep with a bright yellow floral arrangement, I was stumped.

"Oh no... Did I just fucking send flowers to myself?? Shit!"

Hmph. Oh - didn't you hear? It's Administrative Professionals Day and my bosses were thanking me for "always turning their lemons into lemonade."

I'm an idiot. Again. But check it out - aren't they cute?

Happy Administrative Professionals' Day!Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

Not the flowers, my bosses. ;) They even have real lemons in there. Dude. I am one of the few people who can say: I really do love my job. And especially the people I work with.

A Stalker In My Window

You can feel them. You don't even have to see them to know that their eyes are on you.

But even if, you still find yourself turning to see for yourself. To look into the eyes you feel boring into your back.

This shit happens to me all the time. When I'm dropping off the kids, at the grocery store, at Numbnuts' baseball games. Hell. I've lived my entire life around people who never seemed to learn that it's simply not polite to stare.

A long time ago, I finally decided to ignore it all. If I got myself worked up every time it happened, I'd be a raging lunatic. Unless of course... there was any kind of hostility behind the look...

You can take a girl out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of a girl, right?

But what about when... you can see someone outta the corner of your eye just LOOKING at you. What do you do?

I can't help myself. I think it must be my natural reaction coz I always find myself turning to meet them. I mean, really - c'mon now.

So can you imagine how I felt when it happened to me... here at home?!

It was just me and the Cheeky Bandit at home - Skinny Ass was at work and both Einstein and Numbnuts were in school.

Madagascar 2 was keeping the Bandit entertained in the living room, right across from my home office. I was juggling too many projects at once and working against a deadline - when in my peripheral vision, I see someone looking at me from behind the window.

WTF?!

I turn my head slowly, and do you wanna know what I saw?

Edward Cullen Stalking Me

Friggin' poster we got from Hot Topic. I didn't have any room on my bookshelf and had forgotten I put it on the window sill. *shakes head* I am such a dork.

lol - does this mean I can say that Edward Cullen is stalking me? ;)

Taking Edward Cullen Home

I promised I'd be back with pics. ;)

If you saw our little video, courtesy of Mayfayre - then you already know that while most girls try to blend in, we tend to cause a scene.

It all started at Chevy's - we met up for dinner and drinks, and everywhere we turned:

"TwilightMOMS?"

"TwilightMOMS!!"

"Hey - it's the TwilightMOMS!"

I lost count of the servers and busboys that came up to us while we were dining, and loads of other Twilighters asking us all kinds of questions.

Afterwards, we hit up Borders and as we were getting carried away with more Twilight stuff to bring home, we decided we had to take pics. You can probably guess when we saw two other TwilightMOMS crash the store. ;) Turns out they saw our shirts at the TwiTour in San Francisco and got some ordered as well!

Next came the long, dreary line at Hot Topic. Of course, we still managed to entertain ourselves. ;) We finally had our copies in hand by 1am and headed off to JessBeck's to check out the special features.

TwilightMOMS at Hot Topic for the Twilight DVD Release Party~ TwilightMOMS awaiting our DVDs ~

OOH. Did you guys see the Vampire Kiss Montage?!?!

If you've read the partial draft of "Midnight Sun" from Stephenie Meyer's website, then you know exactly where this scene comes from.

I, for one, still need to find time to sit down and watch the movie with the commentary - I hear it's pretty funny, with a relaxed, kick-back style. One of these days, I will get to it... I hope!

So did any of you grab a copy of the DVD? Or hit up any lines at midnight? Lucky for us - we didn't get a whole lotta crazy teens where we were at. In fact, the ones we did see were like, "Cool! TwilightMOMS!"

Huh? lol - you're probably thinking we're living next door to Alice in Wonderland! No drama queens to stomp
