When you've been married for any number of years now, the rush of "being in love" seems to dwindle more and more. In fact, I remember reading that it takes two years for the "high" to fade... when couples in love stop forgiving those little idiosyncrasies they once thought were so cute.
Two years for the butterflies to stop making their appearances.
Hell - we've been married ten - and it's been a whiiiiiile since I got the butterflies.
But this morning, Hubz has to get into work early, and for once, I'm not the first one up in the house. We've got Lance Armstrong in town today, and Hubz needs to make sure everything's in order before the race starts.
Most mornings, I'm lucky to get a "See ya," before he heads out to drop off our teen at high school then go to work.
But I'm telling you... it MUST still be my birthday, coz this morning?
He leaned over and gave me a kiss on the forehead.
Damn - where'd all these butterflies come from???
lol - so tell me - what gives you the butterflies? What makes your stomach do an internal flip-flop?
