Balancing

Okay, I quit.

My book club, that is. It's been a challenge finding time to read the books, with work and the kids, homework and after-school activities. Just thinking about it all makes me tired. But I'm in the process of turning the keys over - which is bittersweet, considering November would've marked our first year.

It was easier before, when I was still working part-time - but things got switched up in the office, and I'm back to full-time now. I can hardly catch my breath, and figured I needed to make some changes. I actually have 300+ emails sitting unread, and this doesn't even include any work stuff.

Work is a whole other story. I've been working on a conference I'm putting together in San Francisco next month... it's killing my hours. Working from home may have its perks, but some days.. the work day just doesn't end at 5 o'clock. I can't describe how brutal it is to be neck-deep in projects and deadlines, with a 3 year old beside you to take care of and entertain. Never mind all the shuttle runs between school and activities.

Can you imagine conference calls with corporate and having a little one crying in the background? lol - yeah - a bit stressful. I had to put the nation's VP on hold once due to a temper tantrum ensuing. Oh yeah - that was fun. ;)

And blogging?

I refuse to give up on blogging. :D But I must admit, I'm not as active as I'd like to be. I have posts scattered in my head, visits I need to make, comments to leave at your sites...

Don't give up on me just yet, k?
