I had forgotten about this photo - it took me two seconds to remember where we went that night...
It was a fundraiser - "C.A.S.A" (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for children. I once thought that it was only weddings and graduations that could make my face sting with tears in public...
But seeing these children - abused, neglected and abandoned... it breaks my heart. I turned to my husband and told him I wanted to be an advocate.
And he gently reminded me that I have my own young men to take care of.
lol - who am I kidding? I've got NO free time. The past few weeks have been hazy, and here I am past midnight, scrambling to get my SS post up.
I may not have the time right now... but I will, later on in life when my boys are grown, I will remember this night.
Even IF the Hubz only gave me one night's notice. He's lucky I had a dress in the closet - I could've wrung his scrawny neck!
