WALL-E and Kung Fu Panda

So what did you do over the weekend?

Well, being that we're here in BFE, there weren't a whole lotta options. We went swimming, had a water bomb fight, BBQ'd and even lit fireworks 3 nights in a row.

And we also hit the theaters.

First we sent to see WALL-E. And being that it was a Disney/Pixar Film, I was all for it. But honestly?

It just wasn't there for me.

Don't get me wrong - the kids enjoyed it, it was still a cute show, and it carries a really good message...

We had a good talk afterwards, brainstormed ideas on how to preserve energy and the earth and what can we do better and yadiyadiyada...

But it just wasn't much... entertainment.

The next night, we bought our discounted tickets from Costco, packed up snacks and drinks and went to see Dreamworks' Kung Fu Panda.

I should tell you, that I was not excited about seeing this movie. But I heard some great reviews on it, and hoped to be pleasantly surprised.

In actuality, I was laughing my ass off. (I wish!)

OMG - I even caught Hubz chuckling a couple of times. Friggin' Jack Black is hilarious. I wasn't always a fan, but he's growing on me.

Besides, we're still quoting our favorite lines from the movie.

Panting, and a pause. "Stairs."
